  • November 1, 2025: Welcome: Jessica Dreßler, Vera Dippel, Ronja Riebel, Jana Waldhauser, and Lea Willms. Since November 1, 2025, they have been supporting the DFG project "ElSiE" as student assistants.

  • October 1, 2025: Welcome, Jana Steck! Since September 1, 2025, Jana Steck has been supporting the chair team as a student assistant in the ReaDi project.

Research

Our research combines basic and applied research: we study the development of deaf and hard-of-hearing children and adolescents who communicate in sign language and/or spoken language. We focus on linguistic, cognitive, and social-emotional development processes as well as issues of sex education and the prevention of sexual violence. We also evaluate new teaching and training concepts for educational practice.
